Availability & Scheduling

I operate as an independent engineer and balance this business alongside other professional commitments.

  • Routine and non-urgent work is typically scheduled during my available working periods.

  • Emergency or time-critical call-outs may be accommodated outside of these periods, subject to availability.

  • Availability will always be confirmed before any work is agreed.

Response Times

  • I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.

  • Urgent matters are prioritised where possible.

  • Response times may vary when I am working offshore or on larger projects, but all enquiries will be acknowledged.


Emergency Call-Out Work

Emergency call-outs are offered on a best-efforts basis and are subject to:

  • Location

  • Nature of the issue

  • Current availability

Emergency work may be charged at an enhanced rate, which will be agreed before attendance.


Scope of work

Services may include (but are not limited to):

  • Marine electrical diagnostics and repair

  • Technical installations and fault finding

  • Mechanical fitting and fabrication

  • Bespoke mounts, brackets, and small fabricated solutions

  • Trailer servicing, repair, and electrical work

  • Custom 3D-printed components where appropriate

All work is discussed and agreed before commencement.


Estimates & Pricing

  • Estimates are provided in good faith based on information available at the time.

  • Final costs may vary if additional faults, complications, or non-standard installations are discovered.

  • Any significant changes will be discussed before proceeding.


Payment Terms

Payment terms will be agreed before work starts.

  • Payment may be required on completion, or in advance for parts, materials, or specialist work.

  • Late payment may result in delays to future work.


Liability & Limitations

  • Work is carried out with reasonable skill and care in line with industry standards.

  • I cannot be held responsible for pre-existing faults, hidden defects, or undocumented modifications.

  • Older or non-standard systems may carry inherent risks, which will be highlighted where identified.


Cancellations

  • Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

  • Late cancellations or aborted visits may be chargeable to cover time and travel
